I gravely nodded.
"What is there to fear in the past?"
She's right. The only thing to fear is the future.

Exactly 50 words long. A vignette.
Written for Vignettes are interesting. Difficult to work with. I was supposed to keep it around 50 words. I think I did okay, but it's hard to make your point in just 50 words. It's got to be like poetry -- simple, symbolic and no fluff. Keep it to the point. I encourage everybody to try this! It was very interesting to do. **Update 4/16/09: I re-made this into a longer piece of prose, but I wanted to preserve the original. I had fun making the 50-word version.
